Fertility is rarely just about eating well or taking the right supplements. In fact, fertility problems in both men and women are becoming increasingly common. In this talk, Sarah Wragg, founder of Matters For Health, will explore what else might be going on beneath the surface when it comes to fertility. She will explain how she works with individuals and couples, why giving yourself around three months to prepare can be so valuable before conception or IVF, and how she uses functional laboratory testing to investigate areas that may be influencing fertility in both men and women.
Sarah will explore the fascinating connection between fertility and wider health — from what you are eating and gut health to hormones, genetics, the microbiome and other factors that aren’t always considered when someone is struggling to conceive, as well as why being told to “just relax” is not always the answer! Most importantly, Sarah will explain why sometimes it pays to step back, look at the bigger picture and ask “What else could be going on?” before simply moving on to the next fertility treatment. Sarah is delighted to be bringing this talk to Barnsgrove and hopes to leave you with a few new ideas about how we can think differently about fertility and the factors that may influence it.
