Why Barnsgrove?
Barnsgrove began with a simple but powerful idea: what if one place could elevate your everyday life and provide a place to belong, bringing together social, work and wellbeing in one incredible countryside setting?
Founded by James and Jo Butler on the family farm in Greywell, Barnsgrove was created in response to a growing sense that people wanted more from where they spend their time. More than a gym. More than a Private Members Club.More than a gym. More than a workplace.
They imagined a place in the Hampshire countryside where people could meet interesting people, invest in their wellbeing, be productive and feel part of a genuine community.
That idea has grown into Barnsgrove today: a Private Members Club in Hampshire combining club rooms, dining, Palmers bar, events, fitness and wellness, padel, coworking, private offices and business networking, all brought together in one thoughtfully designed setting.
But what makes Barnsgrove distinctive is not simply the spaces or the facilities. It is the belief behind it.
That good connection happens in the right environment. That wellbeing should be part of everyday life, not an afterthought.And that, real community still matters.

Our Story
Established on The Butler family’s arable farm, set in the gently rolling Hampshire hills, Barnsgrove embodies James and Jo’s vision to create a vibrant community of members who have a space to call their own, to come together to network, socialise and become part of all that the building has to offer.
The private members clubhouse offers thoughtfully crafted clubrooms, relaxed dining settings, versatile event spaces, a fully equipped studio, and fitness facilities. Barnsgrove Hampshire is a place to retreat to and elevate the everyday, empowering you to unleash creativity, collaborate, and immerse yourself in the scenic countryside setting.
